Evaluation notes

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
  • Our main protagonist is female which challenges the convention of a thriller.
  • Our music is eerie which follows the convention of a thriller.
2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
  • Our product doesn't represent any particular social groups
  • Our main character is a female which is not stereotypical and she is meant to represent the police and is the main focus of the film and we follow her throughout to see how she solves the crime
3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
  • Our film might be distributed by the same people who distributes identity as our films style is similar
4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
  • Our audience would mainly be made up of crime thriller enthusiasts and anybody between the age of 15 and 30
5. How did you attract/address your audience?
  • We attracted our audience by using a young female main actor and by using a cool ident, also it is quite old fashioned which is original
6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product?
  • We have already learnt about uploading the video from the camera to the mac
7. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
